The graduates in ‘Applied Linguistics’ acquire educational competence in two foreign languages, the history and culture of the countries in which these languages are spoken as well as the literature composed and written in them. The programme includes theory of translation as a foundation for further specialized translation training from and into both foreign languages. In the course of their studies the students acquire comprehensive practical skills in using both languages in a broad range of communicative situations.
