The Petra-E Network (PETRA = Plateforme Européenne pour la traduction littéraire. The ‘E’ stands for Education) brings together institutions dedicated to teaching and training literary translation under a common framework (insert link to Framework Literary Translation page) of professional competences, levels and skills which are necessary to become a literary translator. Our aim is to offer support and collaboration through the exchange of ideas, materials and events to institutions and individuals teaching literary translation or becoming literary translators.
Members of the Petra-E Network participate in the conversation about the evolution of literary translation as a profession, have access to a Library of resources offered by our members, and have a space to exchange questions and ideas about literary translation.
PETRA-E is also an official partner of ESLT, the European School of Literary Translation.
