Masterstudiengang Literaturübersetzen / Master in Literary Translation
Course details
The Master's degree in Literary Translation is an interdisciplinary program that combines course content from the fields of English, German and Romance studies over the course of four semesters, depending on the source language(s). Participants will acquire or sharpen skills and competence in literary translation and intercultural processes in preparation for careers in publishing, cultural mediation, further education and for positions in multinational companies in the EU. This program is research-oriented and emphasizes practical relevance. Most seminars will be held by professional translators, and all students will be expected to complete two internships at the European College of Translators in Straelen.
