At Uppsala University, the translators’ program has from its start had a strong focus on literary translation. With at least two large course units in the program devoted fully to the practice of literary translation, and with active literary translators as teachers, the program has educated literary translators into Swedish from mostly English, but also from French, Spanish, German, and occasionally also from other languages.
