Translation History in the History of Society – Master (Classical Languages and Ancient Literature)
Course details
The aim of the seminar is to broaden and improve participants' literary-cultural competence by focusing their attention on translation practices and reflections on translation in specific historical contexts, as well as their evaluative and research competences by adding and extracting new knowledge through problematising others' experiences and perceptions. Finally, the seminar aims to improve students' command of an appropriate meta-language for discussing work, strategies and solutions in translation, as well as their analytical skills through critical reading, written and oral presentations on the topics of the course.
