Translating and Interprating
The graduate will have acquired an in-depth knowledge of T & I theory as well as cultures and literatures of the regions in which the languages of the studied combination are spoken. His/her level of mastering the language will enable him/her to communicate about a large number of specialised topics in a wide range of styles and he/she will be able to effectively and professionally translate and interpret such texts. The graduate will be an expert in intercultural communication and as such will be ready to enter the job market and to find an employment in various segments of T & I industry including literary translation.
After acquiring Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting, the graduate will have – besides specialised knowledge concerning the non-literary translation and interpreting – profound knowledge of the development of the literatures written in the language(s) he/she specialised in during his/her studies and will be able to conduct literary translations primarily into his/her L1.
