Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies

The Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies combines practical internships with rigorous academic foundations to give you both the conceptual skills and industry experience for a successful career. You’ll be able to articulate and apply knowledge of global best practice, and will be able to implement advanced reading, analytical and communication skills throughout your working life. You’ll also graduate with a thorough understanding of research methodology and the ability to undertake independent research. As a Monash graduate, you’ll be perfectly placed to gain employment as a freelance, contract or in-house interpreter or translator, or as a project manager in either the private or public sector.
